Shot these two in Bristol recently for the “How We Met” feature in The Independent’s Sunday Review. Nice guys, but after waiting over an hour for them to both be in the same place at the same time, I only had about 15 minutes to shoot.

The seated shots were done in a restaurant with a single 400Ws Lumedyne in a 4×3 foot softbox and the standing shots were just outside the restaurant door in rapidly diminishing available light.

I would have liked a bit more time to shoot maybe one more setup but was happy with the final pictures. When you’ve got two very busy people and you’re given a 15 minute window in which to shoot you just have to go with it and think on your feet. Where can you shoot? How long will it take to set up? How many different shots can you realistically get done in the allotted time?
